Found in small villages across the Himalayan mountain range in Nepal, this antique kitchen instrument was used as a churning rod holder while making ghee butter. This antique Nepalese taro was carved from native hardwood and has a hole on one end for the long rod or ghupa. The Nepalese would use this churning tool in every household but now are considered rare museum pieces.
