There was a time when Mykonos, with its windmills bursting with whiteness, was the most typical of the Greek islands. Today, it has become, along with Santorini, the most touristy island in the Cyclades. In summer, Mykonos is to the Cyclades what Ibiza is to the Balearic Islands: the island of all pleasures, parties and a jet-set appointment. All this thanks to Aristotle Onassis who, in the 1950s, organized the first memorable parties with the gotha of cinema, politics and jet setters.
