Bal de Madre Tinto is a Portuguese red wine from the DOC Beira Interior region. First, the fresh grapes are at their ideal stage of ripening, picked by hand and filled into 20 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes are carefully selected, destemmed and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Half of the batch matures for 6 months in used French oak barrels. A ruby red color with a slight purple hue, a complex aroma of red fruits, such as cherries and strawberries, along with with subtle balsamic notes characterize this wine. The fine tannins ensure an elegant mouthfeel and the liveliness of natural acidity gives it a lasting freshness.
