I wanted to capture the rolling movement of ocean waves that I’ve always admired in Japanese woodblock prints, combined with the slightly wonky shapes and vivid colors in Dr. Seuss’ illustrations. I’m thrilled with the result, so much that I’ve had to glue the block to a sheet of plexiglass because it started to fall apart from use.
