The Organic Kirishima Houjicha Green Tea comes from Kirishima, Kyusu, Japan: a well-roasted organic green tea with low caffeine content. Houjicha is made from Sencha tea roasted at high temperatures, a process that sweetens the taste of the tea and removes most of the caffeine present in the leaf. Perfect for a cold infusion on a hot summer day. Place of origin: Kyusu, Japan. Production: This green tea is produced according to the classic Japanese style, so the freshly picked leaves are left to wither for a short time and then flooded with very hot steam for a time between one minute and one and a half minutes, allowing for the "killing of the green" to deactivate the enzymes that would cause the leaf to oxidize and allowing for greater development of vegetal flavors in the product.
