"Mary’s Parasols" is designed in collaboration with the estate of the wildly inventive mid-century artist Mary Blair (1911-1978). Mary was known for her imaginative, bold color pairings and joyful and whimsically stylized illustrations. She worked as a concept artist for Walt Disney from the 1940s to 60s and designed the It's a Small World attraction. Originally designed by Mary for a line of hankies for Lord & Taylor in the 1950’s, this sweet abstract features floating parasols inside a decorative floral border.
