If you need heat on a problem area, just pop it into the microwave for a couple of minutes. Our Eye Pillow is filled with 100% Flaxseed. The fabric is Batiste and is soft to the touch. I do not put Lavender Buds in the mask for health reasons. The buds do not hold up with being refrigerated or microwaved. Instead of the buds, I am including a bottle of Lavender Essential Oil. You can control how much Lavender scent you are comfortable with. When storing your Eye Mask/Pillow in the refrigerator be sure to put it in a zip lock bag. If you want to heat your Eye Mask/Pillow, use the microwave. Start with a couple of minutes and see how it works for you, then adjust for your comfort.
