Description
The Belted Kingfisher is a medium-sized bird with a large head and shaggy crest. It is one of the few bird species in which the female is more brightly colored than the male. They breed along streams, rivers, lakes and estuaries with banks for nest holes, and feed almost entirely on aquatic prey. Their breeding range has expanded due to human activity such as road building and digging gravel pits, creating banks where they can nest. 1.25" Hard enamel pin; nickel metal. 10% of your purchase of our Wildlife Series is donated to wildlife conservation/rehabilitation! Excellent enamel pin with vibrant color, crisp detailing, and a solid, high-quality feel. The pin arrived promptly and was carefully packaged. A well-made product that looks even better in person—would definitely order again. * please note I placed the product in clear cello bags, I didn't wanna cause confusion for the seller
