Description
These lovely Sisal Baskets feature leather handles and are hand woven from natural sisal by Akamba women in the Machakos region in Kenya. Each piece is laboriously crafted from hand twisted sisal in the traditional Wakamba method of open weaving. These unique baskets are are given as gifts to the bride during the Akamba community traditional wedding ceremonies. The sisal baskets are woven by the bride’s grandmother or aunt.

I find it annoying that there are no official documents available for the import duties that need to be paid at the time of delivery. I asked to pay by credit card and the driver needed to come back because he did not have a payment terminal with him. The next day he came back, I paid by MC but there are no official documents for my accountancy available.
