At the start, One Off Ceramics tiny vases were made with clay trimmings from throwing and clay scraped off of bats. Each batch of matcha bowls or ramen bowls came with these unique mementos. They are readily available for glaze experiments and really carry the ethos of One Off Ceramics: a little reward to break off the monotonous part of production. Eventually, OOC kicked off a Throwing Tiny series where the material is weighed, and even one ounce is plenty to practice proportions and challenge oneself. OOC tiny vases have long been a crowd favorite at events and markets, and now they're available in a limited number of mystery boxes. Each 4x4 box contains three random tiny vases carefully selected as harmonious groupings. Their forms are inspired by the classic forms in Asian ceramics: gourd vase, bottle vase, teardrop vase, and so on.
