A friend sent me something about grief recently that I really liked: basically that grief is proof that you loved. The bad news is that it hurts like hell sometimes. But the good news is, I’ve loved!!! And I’ll take that any day over closing off my heart. Even though I feel really scared and unsure at this point that I’ll ever find real, healthy love going forward in my life, I sure don’t want to close my heart off to the possibility. So.
