Oddly enough this composition was inspired by an exhibition of Ben Nicholson paintings. My work hasn't much in common with his, but I loved his small canvases showing cottages nestled in a snowy landscape. I took this as a starting point but added lots of pattern in the fields and trees - with some cheery snowdrops in the foreground as a harbinger of Spring. These collectable cards are high quality reproductions of my original hand painted artwork. Look carefully and you can spot a plume of smoke coming from the house.
