Enjoy tap water thanks to Binchotan charcoal! This is a natural, zero-waste filter. Handmade activated charcoal produced by a Japanese craftsman using the ancestral method of carbonization and activation in a traditional kiln, made from Ubamegashi oak branches whose high density is essential to quality. A zero-waste alternative to bottled plastic water. Sold loose (no packaging or blister). Delivered with its instructions (in French) printed on recycled A6 paper. Product available for customization on request. Choose one of the following variants (handmade product - variants subject to availability): - Bottle (0.5–1 litre): This stick is ideal for bottles from 0.5 to 1 litre. (20 grams*) - Carafe (1 litre): This stick fits 1-litre carafes. (25 grams*) - Highly requested, it may be replaced by 1 bottle or pitcher charcoal if out of stock. You will be contacted before any substitution. - Pitcher (1–2 litres): This stick is ideal for 1–2 litre carafes and pitchers. (35 grams*) - Dispenser (2–3 litres): Ideal size for a tap water dispenser up to 3 litres. (50 grams*) The "calibrated" sticks are all under 3.5 cm (often 3 cm) in diameter and are sorted by weight (tolerance 15–20%). DETAILS & FEATURES Due to its carbonization and activation process, Binchotan charcoal is porous. Once in water, its millions of cavities retain contaminants’ ions and other impurities by adsorption. The surface of Binchotan has an enormous capacity to bind molecules present in water. It also significantly improves water taste. 1. Handmade production by the guardian of an ancestral craft 2. Periodic analysis of samples carried out by the French laboratory CRIIRAD** (Independent Research and Information Commission on Radioactivity) at the initiative of Chamarrel® **Laboratory accredited by the Nuclear Safety Authority for environmental radioactivity measurements ADJUST THE DOSAGE Adjust the dosage according to taste, the perceived quality of your water, and your palate. For use only with potable water. It is recommended not to exceed 50 grams of Binchotan charcoal per liter of water. Lifetime and second life Depending on frequency of use, Binchotan remains effective for about 4 months, sometimes up to 6 months depending on usage. It does not necessarily become waste at the end of this period. You can dry it and use it as an odor absorber in a refrigerator, cupboard, or shoes. It can also be crushed and added to soil. This second life extends the zero-waste consumption logic: maximize use before discarding.

Love these products and hope my customers do too. Soap labels came unattached and I had to apply them.
