Ukrainian women and children would work together to weave these distinctive textiles, and the tradition continues to this day in Karpaty (“Carpathian Mountains” in Ukrainian). When you buy one of these blankets, you're getting a one-of-a-kind handwoven item that features colorways and patterns found exclusively in that mountain region. Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, expect slight variations in the appearance of each unique piece. By the way, Carpathian sheep are happy because they roam free, which means they sometimes get straw and flowers into their coats.
