Description
A double-sided bookmark inspired by scrimshaw - the art of engraving ivory and mostly commonly associated with the American whaling trade of the 18th & 19th century. The bookmark has been shaped to resemble a sperm whale tooth. On one side is a drawing of a sperm whale in the style of scrimshaw carving, and on the other is a quote excerpted from Herman Melville's "Moby-Dick." Each bookmark is decorated with a tassel with a selection of different colors. The bookmark measures 2.5" wide and 7" long without the tassel. It is 11" long with the tassel. Made with French Paper card stock in the color Madero Beach Speckletone. Will ship in a kraft paper sleeve for display.
