The Luiza folk embroidery kit features a beautiful border that hails from the Carpathian mountain region in Roumania, an area rich in folk embroidery. Worked in the traditional black and red, this design works up quickly and makes a lovely basket cloth for your home or to give as a gift. Kit includes: 26ct 100% cotton Traditional Groundcloth in natural, DMC 100% cotton embroidery floss, John James size 24 needle, full color charts and instructions. Finished size (exclusive of hemming): 14.25 x 14.25" Stitch count: 185 x 185sts/5376 cross stitches Please note: the drawn thread hem finishing shown in the photos has to be done after the design is stitched; the fabric in your kit will come with the raw edges serged so they don't unravel while you are stitching.
