Wholesale Sheesham tea box – 8 compartments – brass bird inlay

Wood speaks before you even open it. This tea box is carved from sheesham, Indian rosewood with a tight grain and very decorative wavy figuring. The golden honey tone of the lid contrasts with the darker brown sides. A brass inlay depicting a bird in flight adorns the lid and the front face. The hinge and closing knob are gilded brass. The interior reveals 8 equal compartments in two rows of four, in untreated raw wood, with thin partitions joined by grooves. Length 28 cm, width 16 cm, height 9 cm. Very good condition, sheesham well preserved, slight wear marks on the corners. Handcrafted in Saharanpur, India, 1970s–1990s. Placed on a sideboard or serving trolley, this box stores tea bags with elegance. It can also hold jewelry, cards or small precious items in a warm, travel-inspired interior.
