The Berry Bowls of the Selvatica collection are handmade stoneware bowls designed for washing, serving and bringing to the table small fruits, cherries, cherry tomatoes and other foods. In northern countries they use these perforated bowls to keep berries fresh for longer. The holes allow air to circulate freely among the fruits, protecting them from mold and preventing them from rotting. Then a quick rinse under running water is enough to wash them and they are ready to be enjoyed. The bowls are perfect for bringing directly to the table. Dimensions: diameter approximately 12 cm; height approximately 8 cm. Each bowl is individually crafted, signed, glazed, decorated and finished with a high-temperature firing. All my ceramics are food-safe as the glazes are non-toxic and free of lead or harmful fluxes. They are dishwasher safe. The ceramics are sturdy but fragile to impacts. With this in mind I pack the parcels for shipping. Soft, cushioning packaging will protect the ceramics from bumps. Almost all the packaging materials are recycled to minimize environmental impact.
