New York is a Cotton Throw Quilt that is made using handwoven soft cotton and with a Kantha embroidery that is unique. Women of rural Bengal, India use wool threads to hand stitch each piece. The wool thread adds character and dimension to the design, giving it a distinctive look. This is different from traditional Kantha embroidery where cotton or silk threads are used. Our Women Artisans belong to farming communities and earn their living by making these throw quilts to support their families. It takes 15-20 days to make one quilt. Once out of stock, delivery will require 4-6 weeks.
