I have several curated notes saved to my iCloud to share when acquaintances from out of town text me to say they are coming to visit and would love to see me, but not really visit, they are stopping through on their way to Napa or Sonoma, but they totally have like 30 minutes after baggage claim. Now I only need to send them a link to this guide. It nails the mix of high/low rugged/fancy old school/avante guard that will please everyone on your list.

Great as a general guide to the state, with some very well thought out road trip paths and fun stories. As someone who used to travel the state for a living, they have an incredible beat on things, all things considered.

Excited for the next edition, there are a couple of spots they list that are unfortunately on hiatus but that is the nature of the restaurant business, especially in as vibrant a town as SF. Still would recommend! As someone who lives here and has turned over almost every corner of this town, I was surprised to find a few new spots. (And annoyed that the secret is out on which Taqueria locals ACTUALLY go to in the Mission.)
