The original Underground Creeper, Wulfrun was first produced in the 1980’s for our store in Manchester and was one of the styles to be included in our inaugural seasonal collection in 1987. One of the most popular designs it is named after an iconic British live music venue. Wulfrun is built on a “walled last and the shoe features a ribbed sole edge, D-rings for lacing, a front apron that has three rows of interlacing or the apron is plain but made from a contrasting material or colours. In our pursuit to proudly propagate Britain’s rebellious style heritage, we’ve turned up the dial on our responsibility. For 40 years we’ve tapped into the riches and sounds of British subculture; now Made in the U.K. gives back to help sustain the culture. Since our beginnings in the Post Punk landscape of Manchester, a city in industrial decline in the eighties, we have always strived to support manufacturing in the Midlands and the North. Throughout the decades, as different Subcultures waxed and waned, our Original Creepers, Steel Caps and Winklepickers were native to Northampton and Norwich; Leicester and Lancashire- shoemaking epicentres. Now we are bringing the beat of the Midlands and the North back to our soles with the intention to uphold Britain’s Subcultural hubs.
