Designed by ixöq and handmade, by our partner artisans in Guatemala using threads of recycled plastic, these cesta totes are modeled on the traditional market bags you see throughout Latin American with the extra bonus of an optional removable lining but the standard color scheme with a white background has been inverted. They are perfect as a purse, a market tote, a carry-on, for the office, the gym, basically anywhere that you'd like a sturdy carry-all bag. They are very durable and easy to wipe down/clean and the linings are machine washable. The removable & washable linings are made from upcycled jaspe, a traditional textile woven on a pedal loom that includes intricate patterns of different colors centered around one primary color.
