Our sarong is much more than a simple accessory, it's a truly wearable work of art that transports you to a mystical elsewhere. Illustration Story Back to the origins of the tribe of flower-men, rooted on the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia for 5,000 years. Coming from the Tibetan-Burmese highlands, this woman illustrates the history of these people with two symbols: the red ribbon called 'dhago' that Tibetan women put in their braids and the hibiscus being the flower that adorns the bodies of both women and men of the Mentawai. A note from the artist Creating this illustration was an exciting quest to explore the deep links between cultures and symbols that cross time and borders.
