Description
The state flower of Mississippi, the Magnolia • 8 x 10-inch print • Printed on archival paper • hand-painted by the artist, Kristen Ley • Printed in the USA The idea for the State Flower Collection came from a quote I read when traveling through the beautifully flowered highways in East Texas near Austin. The quote is by Lady Bird Johnson which reads, “Where flowers bloom so does hope.” I found the quote to be truly inspiring and the starting point for the collection. As First Lady, Lady Bird started a beautification project to improve conditions in Washington D.C. by planting millions of flowers. She also was instrumental in promoting the Highway Beautification Act, which sought to beautify the nation’s highway system. What a neat lady!

Really thrilled with the cards, posters, notepads, and confetti poppers. The quality and care is apparent. The only (very small) thing was the Little Pig notepads came with a magnate strip on their back, but the Don't Forget notepads didn't. Would have preferred they both either came with or without the magnate.
