This Cosmo trivet is crafted from satin-finish aluminum. Achieved with a unique perforation process, the vortex of the Galaxy Pops out in a tremendous 3D effect. An everyday object has been transformed into a masterpiece of design. The collection also includes globe and sun versions. These trivets are made from recycled aluminum, obtained from the demolition of vehicles, household electrical appliances and/or from the collection of packing materials. Aluminium is ideally suited to the recycling process as it can be melted down and re-used again and again, all while maintaining its noble properties. By this recycling process, we not only prevent the original items from being discarded in the environment but the whole process saves up to 95% of the energy that would otherwise be used during manufacture.
