For over 32 years, My Friend’s Place (www.myfriendsplace.org) has been assisting & inspiring youth experiencing homelessness to build self-sufficient lives. From their early beginnings as a volunteer-based group serving meals from the trunks of cars in Hollywood to the dynamic resource center in operation today, My Friend’s Place offers comprehensive services—including meals, showers, clothing, employment & educational services, mental & physical healthcare and housing support—to 1,400 homeless youth, each year. GetUsPPE.org was founded by MDs dedicated to the continued health and safety of their colleagues. Equipping our medical workers with approved or certified PPE is the best way to keep them safe, and we recognize that neither the available manufactured supply or the current donatable supply is enough to meet the growing need alone.
