The literature on the indirect economic impact of these projects is reviewed and discussed. Private and public stadium projects are compared with respect to construction costs, use, and amenities. Following this are 15 chapters dealing with individual stadium projects. A summary and analysis of financial and non-financial data are followed by a conclusion. Author Biography DEAN V. BAIM is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Seaver College, Pepperdine University, where he has been on the faculty since 1983. Dr. Baim was named Pepperdine University Professor of the year in 1990, and Pepperdine University Society for the Advancement of Management's Professor of the Year in 1984, 1989, 1991, and 1992. He has served widely as a consultant and as an advisor. He has written numerous journal articles and contributions to books.
