Six plates set on a festive table. Bright white porcelain, fir-green bands framing a finely engraved gilt frieze, the gold edging on the scalloped rim. A restrained and elegant design, the kind chosen when you want the table to speak for itself. Digoin Sarreguemines, one of the great French manufactories, signs here the Vendôme pattern, 1930s–1940s. That deep white, the weight in the hand, that gilt frieze that catches candlelight. The sort of dinnerware you bring out for special occasions and end up using all the time, because it deserves to be seen. Six dessert plates. Very good condition, gilding intact.
