Description
This black and white linocut features the Pilgrim Monument along with the shoreline of Provincetown Harbor in Cape Cod Bay. The monument was completed in 1910 and commemorates the landing of the Mayflower in Provincetown in 1620 and is the most visible landmark in town. This print is created in an old school style. The block is hand carved and each print is rolled out individually by hand, giving each one a unique characteristics. In addition to being a printmaker, I have over a decade experience as a professional framer. This entire piece is created by me in my Cape Cod studio from start to finish. The print itself measures 4" x 6" and the framed piece measures 7.25" x 9.5". All materials used are archival. The frame is black wood, the matt board is white and the glass is conservation clear.
