On September 11, 2001, deliberate acts of terrorism were perpetrated against the United States of America. As a result of these devastating attacks, 3,000 innocent American lives were lost. Following the tragedy, the world watched in awe as Americans united in historic fashion to disavow the destruction visited upon their nation by a sworn enemy of freedom, promising to forever remember those who perished and to never forget the sacrifice of those who fell in the line of duty.
