Deprived of fire after an enemy attack, the Oulhamr tribe is in great peril. Naoh, accompanied by Gaw and Nam, embarks on a long journey to find this lost flame. Through the savannah and forests, they brave hunger, thirst, and wild beasts. Pursued by an enemy horde, they find refuge with a herd of mammoths. They resume their quest, exhausted, and one day, in the morning mist, a silhouette appears on the horizon. A woman, a spear in hand, observes them in silence. Will this encounter bring them a glimmer of hope? An adaptation of the famous novel by Rosny aîné, rewritten so that young generations can rediscover this major work set in prehistory, telling the story of this quest showing the beginnings of humanity.
