It is mild in flavor and heat.  Anaheim peppers range from 500 to 2,500 Scoville Heat Units on the Scoville Scale. This makes them fairly mild on the low end, though at 2,500 SHU, that places them at close to mild jalapeno pepper pepper heat. Compared the Anaheim to the common jalapeno pepper, which ranges from 2,500 to 8,000 SHU, the Anaheim is certainly milder, though can have a bit of a kick.
