We had very little money and everything was controlled by the government. My life started in a one-room house with eight of us sharing the space and very little food on the table. As I grew older, I knew I had to leave Cuba to seek opportunities to fulfill my dream of becoming a millionaire. I wanted to reach the land of opportunity...The United States of America. I never knew how hard it was going to be to fulfill that "dream".
