The process of making glass beads begins with crushing recycled glass into powder, heating the powder to make it solid, baking it in a clay oven, and pouring it into molds to create these round beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste of colored glass powder and water, which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. The beads are cooked a second time to fix the decor.
