North America’s largest land bird became extinct in the wild in the 1980s, with the last 27 individuals brought into captivity. An ambitious recovery and reintroduction program has boosted wild condor numbers up to almost 500, and they can now be seen in parts of California, Arizona, Utah and Baja California. Additionally, the Yurok Tribe in northwest California is leading a broad partnership to bring this important bird back to their ancestral land around the Klamath River. 20% of the profits from this patch will support the Yurok Condor Program. All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue. Dimensions: 4.1" wide x 1.4" high.
