This Herring Gull greeting card measures 5.5"x4.25", is printed in my home studio on 100% recycled card stock paper, and is paired with a 100% recycled soft brown envelope. Inside is blank. Cards can either be purchased packaging-free, or individually packaged in clear plant-based PLA "plastic" open-ended sleeves for protection while on display. The back reads: One of the most ubiquitous gulls in North America, herring gulls can be difficult to identify amongst other gull species—but pick them out of the crowd by their beefy size and pink legs. Their opportunistic feeding strategy affords them to dine on anything from dum refuse to hefty sea stars. Despite being a common gull, their population is in steep decline, threatened in part by unsustainable fishing practices.
