Beautiful handmade mola style ribbon headband, great for casual wear of a representation of a Panamanian piece of art. As you can clearly see in the pictures, this is NOT an original authentic mola. This headband is made with a ribbon that simulates a mola design. These ribbons are sold in Panama and is often used for some crafting projects. This is a jacquard ribbon trim called “morcinta”, used by Guna women of Panama. The headband itself is handmade. Adult size with elastic on the back. This would be too big for a child. Blue fabric is a poly / cotton blend. The ribbon is machine embroidered with polyester thread. Hand wash and line dry if possible.
