It is infused in herbs, including licorice root. Licorice root causes cortisol to rush to the area of the application, which promotes healing, think of it as nature's steroid. It also includes skin healing herbs, plantain and calendula. It contains a small amount of astringent herbs (rose), to help the skin tighten back after healing.
