About Tout Chérie

Tout Chérie loosely translates to "everything darling." The name was born out of a love for all things handmade and Elle's belief that the things closest to you deserve to be made with the same care you'd give something you planned to keep forever. Elle started Tout Chérie with a frustration she couldn't stop thinking about. The accessories she loved either looked beautiful and damaged her hair, or protected her hair and felt like a compromise. She couldn't find a single piece that did both — so she made one. What began as a personal project became something more deliberate: a small studio in Chicago where every piece is cut, wrapped, and finished by hand using only Grade 6A Mulberry Silk at 30 momme — one of the heaviest, most lustrous silk weights in the world. This is not fast fashion. Each Tout Chérie piece is made to be worn, kept, and one day passed on. The silk won't pill. The wire won't rust. The craftsmanship won't fade. Every piece that leaves this studio has passed through one person's hands with intention — because the difference between beautiful things and beautiful things that last is the only difference that matters.
