A much respected Contemporary British Artist, whose work is "deeply rooted in sustainability and mindfulness". As an abstract painter, Lisa-Marie chose to create handmade watercolours from foraged earth minerals and work on off-cut linens to minimise environmental impact. Her process reflects her commitment to eco-conscious art, using nature as an inspiration and medium. Each of Lisa's paintings tells a unique story drawn from urban and rural landscapes, sparking conversations about climate change, the cosmos, and the importance of being present. "Slowing down and practising mindfulness is central to my creative process". Lisa's quiet, delicate art can offer a sense of calm and enhance well-being, encouraging deeper reflection. Through subtle, textured compositions, Lisa invites viewers to pause, find stillness, and reconnect with nature and themselves. Lisa's work also serves as a call to action, challenging societal norms and prompting awareness of our environment. Lisa's work is informed by extensive research on science, the environment and consciousness. She combines storytelling and abstraction to inspire collective action toward a more sustainable future. "Through exploring our interaction with the natural world, my paintings encourage a more grounded, attentive, and eco-conscious way of life". We were over the moon at Sister Contemporary to have the opportunity to represent Lisa's work here and bring her creative perspective onto a wider international platform. She has exhibited at the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and featured on platforms such as the Saatchi Platform and The Guardian, amongst many other collaborations.
