My grandmother had a stained glass Cardinal hanging in her bedroom window for as long as I can remember. It fascinated me with the way the light came through the glass and reflected the colors on the walls. It always made her happy. When she passed, the Cardinal came to my home where it now lives in my kitchen. This year I had more time to spend at home and I began watching the bluebird family in my yard as they darted around the tree branches and occasionally left one of their amazing feathers on the ground for me to keep. This design was inspired by my grandmother yet reflects the "view" from my yard and aviary friends.
