Description
These are contemporary necklaces made by Malian artisans of beads of antiquity. The clay beads are the smallest excavated clay beads ever found in the Sahara Desert. They were made in prehistoric times, potentially thousands of years ago, in enormous quantities and have been found in the ruins of old villages in the middle of the Sahara Desert In Mali. Accomplished jewelry designers in Mali have incorporated them, together with modern tiny glass beads to make stunning necklaces for you. We have two lengths; the longer one is available with either black or blue accent tiny glass beads. The short necklaces' circumference is 17" (43 cm). The longer necklace with blue bead accents is 22" (56 cm) in circumference; the one with black beads is 24" (61 cm).
