The quotation 'A house is not a home without books and cats' is written down the bookmark's length and when your book is closed the open book remains on top. The quotation is cast into the bookmark and can't be changed. Our Cats and Books bookmark is 93 mm long (3.7") and comes packaged in an organza pouch. Each cats and books bookmark is hand crafted from polished, solid lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free. Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your cats and books bookmark will never flake like a silver plated bookmark. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water. All our designs are made exclusively by us in our own workshops in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Tassel colours may vary. This product sells well as it is, but it can be easily engraved on the back.
