Made in his Kasama studio by ceramist Takahiro Manome, these incense holders are in the bird theme of much of his work. Typically working in the 'kohiki' style, with soft coloured glazes, the potter has inscribed an appeal to peace on the base of each holder. The holders are available here in three shades: ash white, beige and caramel brown. โข D: 60mm W: 55mm H: 20mm โข 60g ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐๐ค๐๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐จ ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ง๐ A winding road on a mountain side that slowly becomes too narrow for a car to pass, Takahiro Manome is in one sense isolated. In another, he is integral to the current generation of Kasama potters. The impetus to connect Kasamaโs sometimes disparate ceramicist community came from the earthquake of 2011, when Manome, from his mountain side, drove an initiative to repair one anotherโs kilns.
