Description
Sold in Sets of five, these antique correspondence envelopes from France are absolutely beautiful. No two sets will look alike. They are all different. The hand-lettered calligraphy on each is amazing, as is the variety of papers. The letters, invoices, forms, and such are long gone, but the envelopes are beautiful. Some are actual envelopes, and others are folded to form the envelope. These are all dated to the 1800s. These pieces are perfect for framing, scrapbooking, mixed-media work, and decoupage. Please note this is a rare antique and not a reproduction, so there is wear commensurate with age. Please, no special requests. We hope you understand. Comes in a cello sleeve.

the paper is good thickness but the colour is significantly lighter than picture. it is also dyed after it it made, it is not a coloured paper. purchased it to tear as jewelry backing and when torn the stark white of he interior is apparent. if left as it is, and if you don't need the deeper red of the pictures or are not planning to alter it then the paper is lovely.
