Description
Motherhood ring - Pour le miens {for my family}. Pelicans in heraldry represent filial or a mothers love for her children. According to legend pelicans in times of great hunger would pierce their breast offering up their own blood as nourishment for their offspring. Their selfless sacrifice ensuring the survival of their children. Handcrafted from a french wax seal dating to the 1830's. Materials: sterling silver. Seal size: approx 5/8" x 1/2" (15mm x 12mm). Ring band width: 5mm.

So beautiful in person - the pictures don’t do them justice! A perfect fit for my vintage-inspired gift shop, and so well-made. It’s a higher price point than some of my other jewelry lines (middle of the road for my shop), but the quality and uniqueness makes it worthwhile. I can’t wait to show these off to my customers.
