Description

Measuring 17 x 7.5 inches and printed on heavy recycled cover stock paper, professionally offset printed in limited edition. Designed by artist John O'Shaughnessy for the year 2026. John David creates this accurate lunar calendar chart, depicting the moon phase with perigee and apogee, entirely hand drawn each year. The perigee occurs when the moon is physically closest to the earth and the apogee occurs when the moon is the farthest from the earth. The squares around the large moons represent the Perigee, when the moon appears to be larger, the square around the small moon represents the Apogee, when the moon appears to be smaller. Vertical lines represent each quarter, horizontal lines indicate a new moon and no lines represent a full moon. This chart is based on Universal Time. The pattern of the waxing and waning of the moon combined the moon's proximity to the earth interweave to reveal the undulating wave form patterns showing the moon's cycles in a greater depth.
