Very lightweight wind indicator for hunting, confetti/decor, natural stuffing or insulation, oil-spill absorbent. Our milkweed floss comes from Common milkweed (asclepias syriaca) mature fruits, or follicles. It is grown organically in harmony with the local ecosystem, pollinators and most of all, monarch butterflies which rely on the plant for feeding and habitat. The function of milkweed floss in nature is to disperse the seed when ripe, opening like a parachute and floating for hundreds of feet, or even miles. Our milkweed floss comes in Ziploc bags for easy reuse and dry storage, with a choice of three sizes; 4” by 6”, or 8" by 6" or 11'' by 11''. Important: this product contains only pure milkweed floss. For the same volume, it weights five times less than floss with seeds, which has to be taken into account when comparing prices between vendors. It also works better than floss with seeds for most uses.
