Ruby red in color. Vinous, red berries from the undergrowth. Full, structured with good freshness and great persistence. The Barbera grape, one of the noble Piedmontese grape varieties, has always found its ideal habitat in the Asti region because the climatic conditions in these areas, albeit with different characteristics, allow this grape variety to produce fresh and pleasant wines without sacrificing structure and elegance. Vignaquaranti's Barbera plot is located in Castelletto Molina, just a few kilometers from Nizza Monferrato, in the heart of the Asti hills. The vines, over forty years old, face southeast. The terroir here is particularly characterized by the nature of the sandy-loamy soil, which allows the Barbera grapes to ripen with a high sugar and polyphenol content. The grapes, carefully harvested by hand in the second half of September, are pressed and vinified in the cellar using modern equipment, fully respecting the traditional processing method.
