The gINT Spirit is the smell of Figueira, the aroma and flavor of summer, the unmistakable aroma that we feel in the shade of a verdant fig tree! The Bark of Figueira is the identity of our drinks. Your pick up is a much appreciated and expected summer family gathering. We traveled to Trás-os-Montes where we gathered for pruning and, at the end of a hard day, we sat down at the table to share stories and recent memories. The next day, we continue our work, peeling the branches and preparing the bark for use during the rest of the year. Back in the distillery, we make an infusion of the shell into the base alcohol that we use in the production of our gins and let it macerate a few weeks. This product can be drunk plain or used in cocktails. It has the unmistakable aroma of summer. For most of us who know the aroma of a fig tree well in summer, it brings memories of childhood and people who are at heart. Drink to Remember, Not to Forget!
